Grace, strength, speed, reflexes, agility. These are some of benefits that can be achieved from the art of fencing. The "gentle art of self-defense" has been practiced for hundreds of years, by many famous (and infamous) personalities. George S. Patton fenced. Harry Truman fenced. Andrew Jackson fenced- and so can you. Come and see what it's all about.

The Tri-Blade Fencing Academy is your resource for fencing in the Battle Creek-Marshall area. We teach anyone willing to learn the basics of swordplay- and the first lesson is always free. Our fencers, under the direction of Head Coach Craig Smith, have gone on to fence for respected universities, win local and regional tournaments, compete international and even travel to the Junior Olympics. We host perpetual fencing classes, as well as 6/8 week sessions and open fencing dates in Marshall and Battle Creek.

The United States Fencing Association (USFA) is a national organization of fencers all over the USA, holding competitions and tournaments for fencers aged 8 to 80 to fence with fellow swordsmen from around the nation. Tri-Blade is a member club of the USFA, and many Tri-Blade fencers have represented the club in competition across the Michigan Division, and in regional and international consests.

Want to learn more about swordplay? Come and visit one of our training sessions- no experience or equipment required- and learn the "gentle art of self-defense."
